Lucy Cheung

Lucy Cheung is a London-based journalist, musician, and literary translator. She writes in both Chinese and English, contributing artist profiles to The Guardian and penning a music column for Time Out Beijing for several years. Her work spans a wide range of artistic fields, from music and literature to film and visual culture. Over the years, she has profiled figures including Mstislav Rostropovich, Herbie Hancock, Brian Eno, Margaret Atwood, Slavoj Žižek, Metallica, and Lars von Trier. Her published translations include essays by Margaret Atwood and a book on ECM's visual language. Since 2015, she has been writing a column for FT Chinese, among other publications.
